License Agreement Success for Inventor

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
United Patent Research (UPR) is extremely pleased to announce the signing of a worldwide licensing agreement with one of our inventors.  Sandra Fellrath, inventor of the Operating Room Table Safety Strap, has secured an exclusive license agreement with a leading manufacturer and distributor in the medical and health care industry. Ms. Fellrath has many years experience managing an operating room as a surgical nurse and, like most of our inventors, came up with a clever idea that she could not believe was not available in the market. Obviously her dreams came to fruition with the signing of this deal and she is thrilled to be able to make a real contribution in designing a product which will aide many people in the years to come!
The Operating Room Table Safety Strap is an innovative hospital accessory designed with patient safety in mind. This strap can hold a patient more securely than conventional straps. The unique design of this strap does not allow for slips. It can be positioned exactly where it needs to be most effective and safe for the patient.
Mr. Ralston called Ms. Fellrath to offer our congratulations and she expressed her gratitude to UPR. Thanks to Mr. Mike Williams, Mr. Wayne Anderson and Ms. Susan Taylor for their efforts in guiding Ms. Fellrath through the maze of patent protection. Because Mr. Williams was able to point out the value of international protection the inventor also obtained European and China patents. This protection aided Mike Freedman (President of Universal Licensing, LLC) in obtaining a more lucrative royalty for the inventor which demonstrates the value provided by UPR’s patent protection assistance services.
In addition to royalty payments, the licensee / manufacturer has offered to pay for Ms. Fellrath’s time and travel expenses to work trade shows on behalf of the manufacturer.
