Established Company Shows Interest in Five Inventions

At the AAPEX 2017 tradeshow, United Patent Research (UPR) revisited a major tool manufacturer that has been in business over 100 years. When meeting with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, UPR presented a handful of products that we felt would fit this company’s market niche perfectly. They are always looking for new specialty tools that would expand their current product line to stay ahead of their competition. At the show this tool company had expressed interest in 5 products: John M.’s (Manuel) Double Swivel Locking Ratchet Wrench, Eugene W.’s (Wageman) SAE/Metric Wrench, James W.’s (Ward) Hydraulic Mechanics Creeper, Lee S.’s (Simpson) Knee Dolly, and Matthew S.’s (Schroeder) DeHoser. UPR is in the process of getting Non-Disclosure Agreements in place so that we can start making presentations immediately.

Continuing Contacts With Major Company

Notes from AAPEX 2017: After meeting with a major North American manufacturer in November 2016, UPR is continuing to encourage this company to consider the merits of two products that were presented to them last year. This major manufacturer has revamped their entire new product development core and is looking to revisit ideas we had submitted previously. The two products that are still under review are: Joseph B.’s (Brunelle) Windshield Wiper Re-Blades, and David P.’s (Pender) Power Brush. UPR has traded emails with their New Product Development Coordinator. We hope to see some feedback from this major company in the very near future.

Interest in the ID Collet, Kombo-Kutt, & the C.M.V. Safety Lamp

At the AAPEX 2017 Show, United Patent Research (UPR) met with the Vice President, Tina W, of a major international company. We already have pre-agreements in place with this company for potential licensing. Currently this major tool company is selling their products in over 20 countries worldwide. At the show, there were 3 products that received specific interest: Lawrence S.’s (Smith) I.D. Collet, James A.’s (Andrews) Kombo-Kutt, and Aubrey A.’s (Ashley) C.M.V. Safety Lamp. UPR was also able to provide a video presentation at the show for this company to review. They expressed interest in possibly having the I.D. Collet manufactured in Taiwan. UPR will be following up in the very near future to see if there is any additional information that is needed. We will also be communicating with our licensing affiliate, Universal Licensing, regarding the possibilities for a licensing agreement.

Medical Companies Show Interest In UPR Inventions

At the Medical Design and Manufacturing tradeshow, held in New York City from June 13-15, 2017, United Patent Research (UPR) met with various companies in the medical equipment field. Of prime importance, there were five companies that expressed an interest to work hand-in-hand with UPR clients in constructing prototypes for further evaluation. Hopefully, these companies will begin product licensing negotiations once the invention prototypes have been developed and reviewed. Currently, UPR is satisfied with its current contacts in this arena but will always have an open ear to see if there is any room for improvement.

Meeting With Specialty Manufacturer

At the National Hardware Show, United Patent Research (UPR) met with a National Sales Manager for a manufacturer of specialty pouches and aprons. These innovative pouches and aprons are designed to be used in conjunction with the buckets that are typically used to carry tools from worksite to worksite. Even though this company has a very limited market niche, we feel we have a handful of products that would fit that niche nicely. UPR is in the process of putting together a handful of products for presentation to this company and will shortly be contacting their National Sales Manager.

UPR Contact With Innovative Tool Company

At the National Hardware Show, United Patent Research (UPR) met with a manufacturer that deals with a wide variety of hardware tools for the home as well as for commercial use. This company has very unique designs and uses a lot of ingenuity in putting together products for sale. One of their products that caught our eye was a multi-headed screwdriver that holds multiple heads on the handle making the heads very visible and accessible to the user. This makes it very easy to interchange heads. Instead of having to search through a storage compartment, the user just needs to look at the heads on the screwdriver handle. After meeting with their president, UPR will be in discussions on having pre-Non Disclosure Agreements in place so that we can give multiple presentations to this company. We are interested in maintaining contact with this tool company as UPR has an extensive repertoire of innovative tools to offer for licensing.

Interest Shown In Knee Saving Invention

At the National Hardware Show, United Patent Research (UPR)  met with a Canadian-based company out of British Columbia that has a very narrow market niche dealing with construction kneepads. Although UPR has very few selections in this category, this company has shown an interest to review Lee S.’s Knee Dolly. After meeting with their representative, UPR will be contacting the President of the company to establish Non-Disclosure Agreements. Once those agreements are executed, UPR will be able to pass the ball to Universal Licensing where hopefully negotiations will take place. Mr. Lee S. has been working in construction in removing and installing floors for years. He has a working prototype which UPR will be able to present to this manufacturer once the Non-Disclosure Agreements are in place. We look forward to following up with them regarding this practical, knee saving invention.
